'Endangered Reign is a roiling cauldron of grinding grooves, sophisticated chord changes, molten guitars and tough, epic vocals. The end result is an intriguing blend of progressive metal and the Friday night headbanging magic of golden-era Metal Church. There are details like twin leads, light-and-shade and double bass drums (and just wall-of-sound drumming in general) but none of that distracts from the laser-focused obscure ‘80s metal knowledge inherent in these guys across their surprise-filled compositions. In other words, this is both thoughtful and cause for drunken revelry.'

“Through Your Fear” presents a complex labyrinth of riffs colliding with jagged, non-obvious rhythms, articulated bass set against warm bass, surprise twists and turns, and jarring drum accentuation that leaves the listener on edge, wondering where the song is going to go next. And there are a lot of nexts, including a swirl of vocals at one of many break sections. Then we’re back to the hooky chorus and more almost post-punk prog-metal rhythmic structures. What emerges is an intriguing synthesis of power metal and prog metal, loose and almost spider-armed of rhythm but tight of overall framework, basically six minutes that never feels long.
